2019: Reviewing our first year

2019 Year in review!

What an incredible first year it has been - it wouldn’t be possible without you all following along, attending events and cheering us on so here is our year in review, thank you for being a part of it!

JANUARY

We stood up at a workshop and declared in 2019 “we want 3 sold out retreats and press coverage to help spread the word”. I swear, speaking your desires out loud is an incredible way to help make them happen, the Universe is listening!

FEBRUARY

We launched on the 1st and opened up sales to our first family retreat. It was 50% sold out the first week of sales.

We had the windiest launch party of the decade with an acoustic guitar, a stand up bass and a 10 foot grazing board and ocean views. We kept ourselves cozy with kids on our laps and wine in our hands.

MARCH

I turned 40 and am happier than ever to be living the dream that kept waking me up night after night - many of you helped me celebrate at our first Parent’s Night Out at Solidarity (Hint - the next event is 1 Year Anniversary Family Supper Club  on Sunday 2/16 so save the date!)

MAY

Our first ever family retreat was a sold out success - it rained and was better than we could have imagined. Thank you to friends and brand new clients for jumping in and selling us out!

Hint: Our first 2020 family retreat is Mother’s Day weekend 5/8-10 (get ready to be spoiled)

JUNE / JULY / AUG

We had fun meeting new friends at our first family beach party and our second family picnic plus family food truck nights, mom’s night outs and Dad’s Night Out

AUGUST

Our second retreat sold out two weeks in advance and was a hit up in beautiful Cambria. Our big girl started Kindergarten  and we hired LIZZIE (our lives are forever better for it)

SEPTEMBER

We were featured on @goodmorninglala land talking about the need for our family retreats. Our little started preschool. My husband and I snuck away to celebrate x and x’s crazy 40th AND we had an incredible Mom’s Night Out at Simply Styled at @beautywyld

OCTOBER

We launched our first Family Supper Club at Flower Child Santa Monica. It was such a hit you can count on them at least every other month in 2020.

Our community raised $4400 to help send two LAFD members and their family on our November family retreat. They are forever grateful for the experience, and I am forever grateful for this amazing community

NOVEMBER

Our final retreat of the year was pure magic. In the woods, tents, yurts, cabins, bon fires, live music, wine tasting. This is the good life and I’m so glad so many of you were there.

DECEMBER

60 of you came out to our Parent’s Night Out - Mom’s Gone Wyld to support Amber Trueblood, Alicia Dotter and Hillary Lowe and it was an absolute blast. My hardworking husband got promoted to PARTNER and we came to New Zealand to celebrate Christmas, New Years and the wedding of our dear cousin.

It’s been such an incredible year. I have chatted with so many of you  - I feel less alone in this crazy parenting world - and I hope you do, too. Because you’re not. We’ll all in it together.

To my fellow rockstar parent - you’re doing a great job. Cheers to an incredible 2019 and to health and more happiness in 2020

With love,

Karen
