what to PACK

Big Bear is really casual so be comfortable! Active wear, bathing suits, cozy, layered glamping attire!

Weather is cool in the early mornings and late evenings (high 40s!) and low to mid 70s during the day. Pack layers for cozy campfire breakfast and dinners.

  • Casual / active wear for yoga, hiking or lake activities. Kids will be doing lots of nature play so casual clothes they can get messy in. This is a lake side, mountain glamping trip - wear what feels good to you! Dresses, sweat pants, it all works.

  • Warm clothes for cool mornings and evenings! (40-50 degrees!)

  • Bathing suits, hats, beach towels and sunscreen! Aside from the lake, there’s a pool on-site please bring floaties for kids that require them. (FYI the pool is gated off and swimming will be with parents only, Noon Lodge offers self kayaking and canoeing right from the dock with life jackets).

  • Sneakers for walks, hiking or biking

  • Heavy duty lotion. The air in the mountains is dry! Thick face, lips, and body lotion is a must.

  • Additional bath towels IF you love a nice bath towel - we remember Noon’s bath towels being a little small.

  • Toiletries - where Noon may lack in fancy toiletry products or towels it makes up in charming family fun.

  • Water bottles - labeled. Your favorite togo cup or wine tumbler would come in handy, too (but not necessary).

  • Kids bikes / scooters: Optional to bring for kids. Adult bikes are available onsite to guests - first come, first served.

  • Baby monitor? We have the whole property and personally would feel ok being outside if the kids were sleeping in the cabin - but if it makes you feel more comfortable, bring the baby monitor!

  • Food and drink: Camp Wyld Menu includes 5 meals and snacks over the weekend. In addition to the on site catered meals, we recommend bringing your kids specific required items we may not have on hand such as extra milk or any breakfast needs (cereal etc) before the 8am breakfasts.

  • Wine & beer will be provided at dinner but feel free to bring your own alcohol or preferred beverages as well to enjoy other times. Please try to avoid walking around with glass bottles (especially at the pool)
